French Lesson 2: Saying Goodbye

French Lesson 2: Saying Goodbye
If you are reading this page, it means you already know how to say hello in French. Congratulations for your progress! If you don’t, make sure you read the first lesson of this course about when and how to say hello in French before reading this lesson. Thank you.

Au revoir

In most cases, you can use “au revoir” when you or someone else is leaving, but, depending on the time of the day, you can adapt the phrase as you will see in the next examples. “Au revoir” basically means “until I see you again”. Translated literally, it means “until [we] see [each other] again”. Take a look at the following examples from the “Usage” section.
