Sport betting is becoming more and more popular because it is considered an easy way to make money. But you have to learn some “rules” in order to maximize your winnings:

1. Bet only what you can afford – think of a sum of money that you are inclined to spend and don’t surpass it, even if sometimes it may seem tempting.
2. Don’t bet on leagues or sports that you don’t know. Try to specialize on certain leagues.
3. Don’t consider a bet 100% safe. The sport is full of surprises.
4. Bet mostly on the championship matches. The cup matches can be very deceiving.
5. Don’t bet much money at the start of the season. Wait 6-7 stages until the teams can be analyzed. 
6. Don’t bet on derby matches, or if you want to, always cover yourself with another bet.
7. Analyze every match. If you lose, learn from your mistakes.
8. Don’t make a ticket with many events. One with more that 4 matches if likely to fail.
9. Try to remain calm after you  have won or lost a big amount of money. A big part of the players, once they’ve won, start to bet all their earnings on difficult matches and lose all they have. Also if you lose, don’t bet immediately trying to recover your money. Stay calm and try to find the safest bet.
10. Enjoy sport betting, don’t see it only as a way to make more money.

How to analyze a team :

1. Team morale : it is represented by the form of the team in the last month and it’s results.
2. Injured and suspended players: always check if important players are available for the match.
3. The time of the last game: It is important to check if the team has played a lot of games in the last weeks. Fatigue can be an important factor in the evolution of the squad.
4. Recent form : Last six games of the team . But be careful ..if a team has 6 straight wins it is likely to draw or to be defeated in the near future.

How to analyze a game :

You should analyze the last 5-6 matches between the two teams. But if the match is a derby this statistics don’t count any more. This kind of games are very unpredictable. Needless to say that the home ground represents a good advantage.

All in all there are 5 steps in betting :

1. Analyze all the matches and make a list with the ones that attract you.
2. Analyze to the letter every team
3.Analyse and compare the odds from different bookmakers
4. Think of what kind of bet is safer ( line, over/under, handicap, asian handicap)
5. Keep an evidence of all the matches you betted on.

And here are some types of betting :

Line – the simple and well-known 1 x 2 ( 1 for home win , x for draw and 2 for away win ) In some sports like tennis there can’t be a draw match so the line is 1 and 2..increasing your chance of winning.
Double chance : you can select 1x x2 or 12. The chance of winning is increased but the odds are smaller.
Under/over- usually is over 2.5 or under 2.5…if in that game there are scored 0 1 or 2 goals the winner is under 2.5…3 or more goals makes over 2.5 winner. It can also be under/ over 3.5 or 1.5.
Handicap : For example Manchester United – Wigan 1 (-1) . That -1 means that United virtually starts with a goal handicap. So in order for your bet be won, United must win at a difference of 2 or more goals.
Asian handicap : or Draw no bet - You either select United (0) or Wigan (0)..that (0) means that in case of a draw your money is refunded.
