4 Ways to Succeed in Affiliate Marketing Without a Website
If you want to start an online home-based business you may be wondering if you can succeed without owning website. The truth is that having a website is recommended, but not always mandatory. Here are some ideas to get you started:

1. Pay-Per-Click advertising

This is the most popular method of making affiliate money without a website. What you need to do is find an affiliate program with informational products which are high converting and paying well when you refer a customer. What you need to do then is create an ad with PPC which cost very little per click. You can include this add in your email distribution list and get paid your referral fee every time someone purchases a product after clicking on your add. Good places to start are Google AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing and Microsoft adCenter.

2. Email marketing

As another very popular affiliate strategy without a website, email marketing is based on email lists. Basically, you need create and maintain a list of prospective customers and email them periodically information about the affiliate products or services you’re promoting. Remember to build a relationship with your readers first, before selling to them and stick with the subject matter of what they initially signed up for.

3. Sharing free eBooks or reports

You can write an eBook or report yourself or have it written by a ghostwriter. The book or report should cover a selected topic and include links to the affiliate products promoted. It is recommended to have a high quality eBook with relevant content for the affiliate products so that it can capture the interest of the readers and, most importantly, gain their trust. You can then distribute your eBook through you autoresponder service.

4. Offline promotion

Another way is by promoting you affiliate products or services offline (including classified ads, flyers and brochures) by sending them to a landing page. Generally, classified ads are thought to work best as they reach more people. However their cost is rather high compared to owning a website.

With so many proved strategies, you may easily fall under the impression that you actually do not need a website at all to promote your affiliate products. However, keep in mind that while you may succeed using these methods owning a website has many more advantages. For greater affiliate success, you need a website and, if not now, then perhaps, in the near future.
